Umela Phatak, a village adopted by the Rotaract Club of DGMC, were privileged to partake in a pivotal session on Nutrition and Healthy Eating Habits. The event was a collaborative effort between the Rotaract Club of DGMC and The Nourishing Schools Foundation, Bangalore, and was spearheaded by the distinguished Miss Divyanshi Hazarika from the NGO, who made a special journey from Bangalore to conduct the session.
Miss Divyanshi Hazarika’s expertise and guidance were instrumental in enlightening the attendees about the significance of a balanced diet and the pivotal role it plays in overall health and well-being. Through interactive presentations and engaging discussions, she elucidated the importance of incorporating diverse food groups, essential nutrients, and the benefits of locally sourced produce in daily meals. Furthermore, she addressed prevalent misconceptions about nutrition, debunking myths and promoting evidence-based practices that are conducive to a healthier lifestyle.
