DGMC had organized a Faculty Development Program on “Case Writing” at DGMC’s Madhoprasad Saraf Seminar Hall on Saturday, 4th Feb 2017.
The Resource Person for the program was Dr. Manoj Kumar, currently a professor at Flame University, Pune and the Chairperson at Centre for Case Development with a Ph.D from IIT.
The program was divided into 2 sessions (Technical Session) – The first session was ‘Why write teaching cases?’ during which Dr. Manoj Kumar discussed the benefits of teaching by using Case Studies, and the importance of writing cases by faculty. It also included a session on descriptive and analytical cases. The 2nd Session included Drafting cases by the participants and presenting them, followed by a discussion and feedback by Dr. Manoj Kumar.
The event saw 57 participants from various colleges in Mumbai including 18 participants from Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies & 9 from DGMC.
The program received positive feedback from all the attendees, according to Prof. Amisha Dawda, the program convener.
