Media I.C.E Age and Cinevoyage- the annual media festival and International film festival of Rajasthani Sammelan Education Trust’s Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies were held from 23rd to 26th February 2022. Receiving participation from all over the world, the online festival featured a vibrant gathering consisting of a variety of events, panels, workshops, conclaves and one of the major highlights of this festival the CSR initiative 2022 ‘THE ENVIRONMENT CONSCIOUS SECTION’
The college comes up with a CSR initiative every year and for the 3rd edition of the festivals they thought of being Environmentally Conscious, were in they had workshops, panels, conclaves, events and activities that purely spoke about Environment, they also gifted plants to the HOIs of other colleges and Institutes whom they had invited for their fest also they gifted plants to all the winners, Juries and to their own team students and faculties.
They partnered with the ISHA Foundation for their own series of Changemakers were in they call people who take small initiatives and bring a change for good in the society, there were workshops on topic like Make your daily products at home, wherein students learnt to make daily products like soap, handwash, shampoo etc at home, and panels like Cells and pixels in which the students indulged in a discussion that is being digital really eco-friendly, the ECS also featured a conclave on a topic of displacement of tribes and Urbanization a really crucial topic in today’s situation for a country like India and lastly the festival also had a debate on the topic that Climate change is not the biggest Environmental issue.
The Environment Conscious section was one of the major highlights of the 3rd edition of Media ICE Age and Cinevoyage and this CSR initiative was indeed a need of the hour as the world today is concerned about issues like Desertification, Climate change, soil degradation and global warming etc, this small step by DGMCs Festivals will inspire many to start thinking about such issues and work together for a better future.
