Albert Einstein said – “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” To allow the students to have some fun while they exercise their creative abilities, DGMC’s Ad and Branding Club organized its first event – Brand Apna Apna. Though everyone is forced to confine themselves behind concrete walls, this event invited students to take the stage, shine and unquarantine their talents.
DGMC believes that greater learning happens through practical exposure. When students participated in this event, they designed a logo, a poster and a promotional video for their brand. Moreover, they learned from the valuable feedbacks and motivational words of Principal, Dr. Amee Vora, Professors – Ms Selvi, Kislaya Jha, Ms Rubina Mohammad, Saurabh Deshpande, and Shalu Balan.
The event was flagged of by the encouraging words of Principal Dr. Amee Vora, A total of 15 students participated in the event. Everyone had presented original and impressive ideas. Devansh Doshi, a student of first year BAMMC bagged the first prize in the event for his brand “Soled Out” which sold shoe soles. The presentations were followed by a fun game – “Logo Apna Apna” – where students had to guess the logos of popular brands. The event ended on a happy note and was indeed a resounding success.
Learning Outcomes of the Event:
- Students learned the fundamentals of building a brand by practically executing the creation a logo, a poster and a promotional message.
- They understood how harmony plays an important role in any ad message.
- Professors discussed how every ad message is focused towards an objective and how the students should streamline the image of the brand. The Ad and Branding Club looks forward to organize more such Intra-College and Inter-collegiate events throughout the academic year.
