In memory of the Father of Library Science, Dr. S. R. Ranganathan’s 127th birth anniversary on 9 August 2019, DGMC’s librarian organized an event titled “Librarian’s Day Celebration” on the following day.
All higher authority, faculty, staff and the students were invited to the function. A wonderful documentary on Dr. S. R. Ranganathan’s work was shown to the audience at the event.
One of the alumnus Aditya Vyas was invited as an author as he has published two books on spirituality. He spoke about his writing hobby, his books and interacted with the captive audience. Few students read their own work.
Dean Prof. Mukesh Sharma and Principal Dr. Amee Vora shared their views to encourage the students.
The function ended with a vote of thanks given by DGMC’s librarian Geetanjali Wani.
